No wasters here!
we donate to fareshare

We’re big into frozen food. You might have noticed. Not least because fruit and veg has nutrition and flavour locked in, but because it’s better for the planet too.

A staggering fact: if food waste were a country it would be the third largest emitter of carbon globally! In the UK alone, the average family throws away 22% of their weekly shop – that’s equivalent to £730 per year. Madness! Especially when there are millions of people struggling to afford to eat.

There are two ways we’re helping redress this balance.

Firstly, we only do frozen and this helps reduce food waste. Research by the British Food Journal shows that diets that contain frozen foods have 47% less food waste compared to fresh foods. Good news for all you Love Struck fans!

Secondly, we aim to donate £90,000+ retail value of free smoothies to Fareshare, which is founded on the belief that no good food should go to waste. Its teams redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals for vulnerable people; a genius way to fight hunger and tackle food waste.
