Competition Time!

With the Euros now officially underway, it’s time to focus on some titans of the footballing world who have all enjoyed our fantastic smoothies. However, because we haven’t paid them to endorse us, we can’t really name them – so how about a little game? We’ll list below some trivia and key stats and leave it up to you to guess who they are. Can you name all five of these players that can Blend It Like Beckham? (Been waiting SO long to make that pun)

Player four

Our next smoothie-loving footballer is another that seems to have been around for ages but has not yet reached his 30s.

Pound-for-pound, he has to be one of the most consistent players in the league, especially given the position he plays in, which is not renowned for consistency! He has only played for three teams, and each one is part of that ‘Big Six’ group of clubs. His club career spans twelve years, and he’s won the Premier League Title four times.

He’s a player that has divided opinion throughout his career, and been the victim of some pretty harsh coverage in the press for someone that has set up a charitable foundation and made a substantial donation to help those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

On the pitch, he can produce moments of magic, and is one of a select group of players to have scored more than 100 goals in the Premier League. He’s another that may or may not get selected for the squad this summer, but it will be strange if he isn’t there – you have to go back 12 years for an England squad without him in it at a major tournament.

England Appearances: 82     England Goals: 20
